Giacomini: In the High Competition

Giacomini is the new official technical sponsor of the Kawasaki team in the Supersport World Championship.

Giacomini signed a sponsorship agreement with the official team of Kawasaki for the World Supersport Championship last week. The Spanish rider Joan Lascorz and the Japanese rider Katsuaki will wear the new colours of Giacomini to defend the highest levels in the worldwide competition.

The Supersport World Championship is a category encompassed within the World Superbike Championship. The Superbikes are motorbikes of 1,000 cc and 600 cc in Supersport competition.

Worldwide there are five world championships recognized by the FIM:
- 125 cc
- Moto2
- MotoGP
- Superbikes
- Supersport

Giacomini bets with this action to link the brand with the latest technology in competition, the importance of teamwork and the requirement of seriousness to achieve results.

This past weekend Misano race took place, 8th round of the championship, and Team Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com riders wore Giacomini logos on their machines. Joan Lascorz finished second and Katsuaki Fujiwara was absent recovering from an operation he underwent last week in Japan.
