BUS TECHNOLOGY
The devices of giacoklima® bus thermoregulation range have greater intelligence and can exchange information thanks to the modern bus technology; the appliances are connected through wiring – the bus itself – that is used to transfer opportunely codified messages.
In a bus system, a “point to point” connection between sensors (room thermostats) and actuator devices (regulators for electrical actuators or zone valve motors) is no more needed; it is sufficient connecting all appliances to the bus, that is to the signal cable, without respecting a prearranged sequence.
The identification of the various appliances connected to the bus and the relative communication are possible due to the addressing of themselves made through micro-switches on board of the various devices. Consequently, in a giacoklima® bus system, the “physical” circuits under the shape of “point to point” connections between sensors and actuator devices are replaced by “logic” connections, with the appliances connected to the single signal cable and the coordination between sensor and actuator is obtained through the device addressing.
