The sustainable well-being

It has been more than ten years since we started talking about hydrogen in our company.

After having worked for fifty years in the heating and air conditioning industry, accumulating a significant international experience, we achieved the awareness that we can venture into paths not yet beaten.
Ranging from the well-established research of solutions with low environmental impact, which has allowed us over the years to offer top solutions to the market - from radiation heating to solar thermal systems - we approached those areas of advanced research that allows us to shape our future.

Giacomini has bet on hydrogen, identifying the best opportunities in this technology and the most promising legacy we can leave to future generations.

A team of highly skilled professionals oriented to experimentation has worked at Giacomini for several years designing a hydrogen-powered burner to generate thermal energy in a way totally independent from fossil fuels producing no polluting emissions.
The research was started by Pietro Quirico, Giacomini a valuable collaborator for four decades of important changes, always supported by Servilio Gioria – the Director of Research & Development at Giacomini since the 70s - who has taken over the project since a while, working hard not only to develop a product with a high level of innovation, but also to offer the best application solutions.

We were supported by the prestigious Research Institute PSI (Zurich), Politecnico of Milan and the University of Geneva (Switzerland).

The burner was released by our research laboratories in 2006, during the Winter Olympics in Turin, and found visibility in the meeting point called "Casa Italia". Regione Piemonte was involved to present the reality of an Italian company, a manufacturer of authentic Made in Italy, oriented to innovation for energy saving.

The research, which continues today with rapid and interesting developments is coordinated by Servilio Gioria, supported by a young and promising engineer, Samuele Molina, and by the team of experts in electronics and regulations of Francesco De Antoni.

If at that time it was just an "experimental" product, today the situation has radically changed and the Giacomini hydrogen burner begins to be seen as a solution capable of responding to the crisis of traditional fossil fuels.

The first interesting applications, such as Environment Park in Turin and Hotel San Rocco in Orta San Giulio (Novara), involve that group of people - actually fast growing - who feel the need to find solutions for the near future, understanding the importance to choose sustainable solutions.
