HEAT METERS
The European Standard EN 1434 applies to heat meters, that is to instruments intended for measuring the heat which, in a heat-exchange circuit, is absorbed or given up by a liquid called the heat-conveying liquid.
Title and parts
EN 1434-1:2007 Heat meters - Part 1: General requirements
EN 1434-2:2007 Heat Meters - Part 2: Constructional requirements
EN 1434-3:2008 Heat Meters - Part 3: Data exchange and interfaces
EN 1434-4:2007 Heat Meters - Part 4: Pattern approval tests
EN 1434-5:2007 Heat Meters - Part 5: Initial verification tests
EN 1434-6:2007 Heat Meters - Part 6: Installation, commissioning, operational monitoring and maintenance
The standard EN 1434 was developed by CEN TC 176.
WATER METERS
The European Standard EN 14154 applies to water meters intended for residential, commercial, light industrial and industrial use, and specifies the requirements and certification procedures for water meters, irrespective of the design technologies used to meter the actual volume of clean cold potable water or heated water, flowing through a fully charged, closed conduit.
Title and parts
EN 14154-1:2007 Water meters - Part 1: General requirements
EN 14154-2:2007 Water meters - Part 2: Installation and conditions of use
EN 14154-3:2007 Water meters - Part 3: Test methods and equipment
The standard EN 14154 was developed by CEN TC 92.
HEAT COST ALLOCATORS
The European Standard EN 834 defines heat cost allocators which determine the consumption value of room heating radiators. It also specifies the minimum requirements for construction, materials, production, installation, function and evaluation of the displayed readings established by these measuring devices.
Title
EN 834:1994 - Heat cost allocators for the determination of the consumption of room heating radiators - Appliances with electrical energy supply
The standard EN 834 was developed by CEN TC 176. The standard is currently under review by CEN in WG1 “Heat cost allocators” that is part of TC171 “Heat cost allocation”.
