The R274C compact valve is a new entry of our range of 6-way valves that control the hydraulic supply from two different thermal energy sources to a single usage point, that is 4-pipe systems (generally heating and cooling installations).
Its compact dimensions make it the ideal solution for installation in very small spaces.
A single motorized 6-way valve with its related actuator can replace four motorized 2-way zone valves,
thus solving any synchronization issue when opening/closing the two sources.
6-way zone valves enable to change the status (0°-90° stem position) while shutting off both sources (45° stem position).
R274C 6-way valves are generally installed in radiant ceilings and fan coil systems, where the user can easily change over from heating to cooling also during the same day and autonomously for each zone.
The 40-mm center distance between the inlet and outlet of the R274C compact valve provides direct connection to the fan coils.
The special patented built-in cartridge, which replaces classic balls, offers top-notch regulation accuracy (no backlashes) and enhanced flow rates under any condition (best Kv on the market).
Integrated directly in the cartridge is a system that prevents overpressures when the valve is closed. It does not affect the hydraulic separation between the circuits and the two sources.
Under such conditions, the pressure of the fluid inside the usage point circuit may increase or decrease when the fluid temperature changes according to the room temperature.
The cartridge in the top of the valve features an internal port (ref. A) which keeps the “usage point” connected to “source 1” even when the valve is closed (45° stem position).
