Once settled, the solid debris inside the pipes can reduce the port sections and increase the losses of pressure along with oxidation.
To prevent this, the R74M filter with metal mesh and magnet is installed upstream of any component that may be damaged or fail because of ferrous and non-ferrous impurities.
Shut-off valves are recommended upstream and downstream of the Y filter to make periodical maintenance easier. That is why we combined the two components in a single and more compact ball valve with built-in filter. This solution is the ideal in limited spaces, for example upstream of energy meters, circulators and/or on boiler and heat pump inlets.
