The new air treatment units by Giacomini combine top-notch technical performance to an eco-friendly core: the cooling fluid used in the cooling circuit is propane R290, which features outstanding thermodynamic efficiency, a natural alternative to traditional cooling gases with high contents of GWP.
The Global Warming Potential parameter identifies the greenhouse-effect global warming potential caused by a specific gas in the atmosphere. Taking as reference value carbon dioxide CO2, equal to 1, we opted for the R290 gas as its GWP=3 is extremely lower than GWP=1300 of the R134a gas used in the past.
The technical development based on the R290 refrigerant load has enabled us to improve “key” components, such as the compressor, which increase efficiency by 30% compared to the previous model.
